About Rank One Computing
Rank One Computing (ROC) is an industry leader in facial recognition algorithm development, offering the world’s best combination of accuracy, speed and efficiency. Rank One’s primary offering is the ROC SDK™, which is currently deployed by multiple agencies in the U.S. Department of Defense as well as multiple state and local law enforcement agencies who consistently achieve accurate investigative leads in their forensic investigations using ROC algorithms. The ROC SDK is being used across several financial institutions for 1:1 identity verification of their customers. Multiple access control system vendors have integrated the ROC SDK across thousands of such devices worldwide. The ROC SDK is also deployed in retail environments for performing age, gender, and demographic estimation and is being used by a wide range of smaller ventures developing emerging face recognition applications.
While other commercial face recognition solutions are based on legacy techniques aimed at controlled capture face recognition scenarios, the ROC SDK implements nascent techniques born out of the academic literature into an efficient design that provides unparalleled performance with respect to faces “in the wild.” Whether a user needs to search 100M face records on a laptop, billions of face records on a server or millions of face records on a mobile device without network connectivity, the ROC SDK enables all of these scenarios, with results in near real-time. ROC’s scientists and engineers have authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications on automated face recognition and continue to expand the realm of possibility in automated face recognition technology.
