Peter analyzes, drafts and negotiates commercial agreements with an emphasis on technology, brands, and other intangible assets. Peter has represented clients of all sizes in diverse industries such as real estate development and resorts, financial services, medical devices, and mobile apps and other technologies. In addition to preparing agreements and providing advice related to the identification, acquisition, protection, exploitation, safe use and transfer of intangible assets, Peter also has substantial experience in conducting intangible property diligence in connection with transactions.
In addition to his work at Bold Legal, Peter founded Breakaway IP where he represents clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and provides intellectual property advice.
Peter has practiced law in Colorado for over twenty years. He started his legal career at a Denver boutique focusing on the protection of inventions and brands, and went on to practice at Davis, Graham & Stubbs; Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and most recently at Dorsey & Whitney.
Peter graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 1995 and from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and worked as an engineer for a defense contractor in Northern Virginia before law school.
Peter is boldly committed to rock climbing in Colorado and traveling to climb elsewhere.
